Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 lineup to go on first sale in China tomorrow (1 September)

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 lineup on August 29 and needless to say, the lineup has taken all of us by surprise as both the devices in the lineup offer amazing specifications and features at an ultra-affordable price.

Finally, the lineup is going to go on the first sale in China on September 3.

Today Xiaomi has finally unveiled two of the most anticipated smartphones, the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro. This two mid-range smartphones were in the rumor mill for long now and seems like they manage to fulfill all the hype created around them.

With these new offers, the manufacturer decided to focus exclusively on their specs and features, with no clear innovations in their design. But, that doesn’t mean their design is not gorgeous. They simply fall in line with the current trends in the smartphone industry.

Starting with the star of the show, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is the first official smartphone equipped with a 64 megapixels camera, that leads an interesting quad-camera setup. Moreover, this was the first smartphone to come with the new gaming processor, MediaTek Helio G90T, that promises top-notch performance thanks to its liquid cooling system.

Having a gaming focus processor, Redmi has partnered with MediaTek to bring some extra features for the hard-core gaming users. Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with two new features developed by the chip manufacturer, Game Turbo 2.0 and HyperEngine. The latest, allows the smartphone to keep Wi-Fi and 4G connections running at the same time, being able to compensate any loss of signal from Wi-Fi with 4G.

On the other hand, the Redmi Note 8 presents itself with a bit more modest specs. But, shouldn’t be dismissed of the bat, as it is a quite solid smartphone that offers a lot of value for your money. When it comes to the design, is virtually identical to the Pro variant, the only difference being the slightly thicker bottom bezel with the Honor branding. Apart from that, the front panel is exactly the same. The back panel tells us a different story, with the quad-camera setup being moved to the top left corner of the back.

Although its specs are not as impressive, the Honor Note 8 promises an impressive performance thanks to the Snapdragon 665 and up to 6GB of RAM.
