As seen on the e-commerce website, we will only get the top of the line 8GB RAM coming up with the special edition device.
Coming back to India, the Realme X is launching on July 15 and there is an insane competition going around lately.
Furthermore, it is now almost confirmed that the device will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 only in India.
Escaping the truth or keeping a big surprise? I most certainly believe it's the former and I most certainly wish that it's the latter. Not talking about it won't stop us from asking about it.#realme#realmexpic.twitter.com/v75eb69M9K
Realme X will launch in India on July 15. The company will be launching the special Spiderman edition of the device on the same day.
That said, there is a lot of confusion going on in terms of the probable specifications change when it comes to the Indian variant of the device.
Starting things off with the specifications that are a 100% confirmed now.
Alright. I knew it already, still wanted to take your opinion on the same. Now, please note that this is an assumption I am making as of now. The Realme X landing page shows the specs I am attaching as images. Why no processor description is up to you to decide.#Realme#RealmeXpic.twitter.com/Wd8eomUR3r
Realme X confirmed specifications of the Indian variant
6.53-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display
91.2% screen-to-body ratio
VOOC flash charging (20W)
In-display fingerprint scanner
Dual rear camera (48MP, IMX586 + 5MP)
16MP selfie camera (Sony IMX471)
Other than this, the landing page does not mention anything else (especially the SoC). Does that hint at a probable processor change (Snapdragon 730 instead of a Snapdragon 710)? The answer is – likely.
Madhav Sheth has already confirmed that the Realme X will come to India with a different set of specifications and considering the fact that all the other specifications mentioned above are unchanged, it’s the processor and the battery that are left undisclosed.
As far as the special edition box packaging goes, we will get a special hard protective case for the device. Furthermore, the app icons of the special edition will also take on Spiderman aesthetics.
The company officials were found fiddling with the special edition box yesterday which hinted at a nearby launch (which is confirmed now)
In a recent Twitter conversation with Madhav, he replied to my question as to when we would get the Realme X in India.
The response to the question did not hint at a particular day or a month, but it is confirmed that the Realme X will indeed launch in India and the launch will happen somewhere after the month of June.
We shall try to bring it earlier but with all our effort we think we shall be only able to bring around second half of the year.
As we already know, the device will come with a different set of specifications in India, so it is obvious that the company would want to take its time to prepare for the launch.
As per Madhav Sheth, the Realme X might not necessarily launch with the same specifications in India. The price of the device will be somewhere around 18K.
Furthermore, there will be a totally new variant of the device coming up in India and he has left it out for all of us to guess.
Apart from Garlic and Onion, we will also have one more special variant for India
