Yesterday, we got to know that Asus will collaborate with Tencent Games to develop the second generation Asus ROG 2 gaming smartphone. Now, a new report claims that the device will be unveiled in the month of July.
Furthermore, we will get to see a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and a 120Hz refresh rate with the device.
As of now, there is not much known about the device, but considering the fact that the original Asus ROG phone turned out to be an amazing performer, we don’t expect anything less from its successor as well.
Coming to the specifications of the device, the Asus ROG gaming smartphone sports a 6-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a response time of 1ms. The display has an 18:9 aspect ratio, a 108% DCI-P3 wide color gamut, a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, and HDR support. The display looks incredibly sharp and crisp which is kind of a must for a gaming-centric smartphone.
Under the hood, we get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset which is clocked at an overwhelming 2.96GHz. Coupled with the processor is 8GB of RAM and a huge 128GB/512GB of internal storage.
To keep the device cool, there is a 3D Vapor Chamber Condensing Technology AeroActive Cooling Fan. The device features ultrasonic touch sensors at the edges which can be used to play games in a way no other smartphone could offer. Additionally, the Asus ROG gaming phone features a side custom interface which makes it one of its kind.
