Honor 20 (standard edition) to sport a side-mounted fingerprint scanner

The upcoming Honor 20 will reportedly feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. A new leaked image confirms the same. As for now, it is not confirmed as to whether or not the image is legit, so we might as well take it with a pinch of salt.

The lineup is soon going to launch (May 21 and June 11 for India) and this is the peak time for leaks and rumors, so we cannot blindly trust all of them, but this one seems a bit plausible.

A little while ago, the Honor 20 appeared on the Geekbench database revealing some of its specifications.

As per the listing, the Honor 20 has scored 3278 in single-core test and 9709 in multi-core score test.

Furthermore, a 1.80GHz processor, 6GB of RAM, and Android 9 Pie have also got confirmed.

A little while ago, Trending Leaks shared a concept render of the device.

In the promotional picture, there are two things worth noticing – one is the fact that the upcoming Honor 20 lineup will feature the ever-famous Night Mode of the company which provides for excellent low-light shots. The second thing worth noticing is the series of 4’s given at the bottom left of the poster. By doing the maths (we do not want to take the credits for solving the maths problem as GSMArena has made the job easier for us), the date May 21 comes up as a result. Invariably, the 4’s could point out to either a quad camera arrangement or 4 different devices in the lineup.

All in all, these are still wild guesses as of now. Trending Leaks, however, have given us an idea as to how the Honor 20 and the Honor 20 Pro might look like.

As of now, this is all we know about the Honor 20 lineup, but we are sure to receive further intel on the same in the coming days as the launch date approaches.
