Nubia Red Magic 3 to feature a 90Hz screen and a SD855 SoC

The upcoming Nubia Red Magic 3 flagship will allegedly feature a 90Hz refresh rate display which is “higher than most gaming PCs”.

As seen in the image above, there are three display options – the first one is automatic which will most certainly switch between the other two options (60Hz mode and 90Hz mode whenever required). Furthermore, the Nubia Red Magic 3 will feature active cooling (a physical fan at the rear) which is the first in the Android realm.

The days of rumors are soon going to end as the company has finally given us the official launch date – April 28.

The device will be unveiled on April 28 at RNG’s center in Beijing, China.

The variant tested in the benchmark is the 8GB RAM variant, but we already know that there will be a 12GB variant as well which will give even more impressive scores. Nevertheless, the presence of a 1080p display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset has been confirmed now.

Here is a quick comparison between the benchmark scores of the Red Magic 3 with the Black Shark 2 and the upcoming Oppo Reno.

Recently, a new Nubia smartphone with the model number NX629J has received the 3C certification. If the reports are to be believed, the device is going to be the Nubia Red Magic 3.

As per the listing, the Nubia Red Magic 3 will come with 30W (15V/2A) fast charging support.

To make things more interesting, the company’s CEO Ni Fei recently hinted at a battery that starts with “5” which indicates it could be packed with at least 5,000mAh battery.

Furthermore, the Red Magic 3 will be powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset which will be coupled with an astonishing 12GB of RAM.

We will also get a 4D vibration motor which would provide for customizable haptic feedback.

As far as the general gaming performance is concerned, the Red Magic 3 will possibly feature a 120 Hz refresh rate like the Razer Phone.
