Honor 8S: Specifications and live shots of the device emerge

A little while ago, the Honor 9S got trademarked which hinted at a nearby launch. Now, a bunch of live shots and specifications of the Honor 8S have surfaced.

As per the source, the Honor 8S will sport a 5.71-inch display (with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels) with a waterdrop notch. There will be a fair bit of bezel at the bottom of the device.

As far as the OS is concerned, we will get Android 9 Pie out of the box with EMUI 9 on top of it.

At the back, we will get a neat dual-tone textured design. There will be a single camera (13MP) alongside an LED flash. We do not see a fingerprint scanner at the back meaning that the Honor 8S will solely rely on the facial unlock mechanism and the traditional password/PIN/pattern unlock mechanisms.

Speaking of the front camera, we will get a 5MP selfie snapper.

Under the hood, the Honor 8S will be powered with a Helio A22 SoC chipset which will be coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with scope for further expansion with the help of an external SD card.

As far as the OS is concerned, we will get Android 9 Pie out of the box with EMUI 9 on top of it.

A 3,020mAh battery will fuel the device. A standard USB 2.0 charging port is no surprise considering the fact that the Honor 8S will essentially be a budget device.

As of now, there is no word on the price and the availability of the device, but we are sure to receive further intel on the same in the coming days.
