Remember when we talked about the upcoming flagship from Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi? It looks like the device is taking its final shape as we have just received a hands-on video of the device.
As seen in the video, we will get a cut-out front camera in the upcoming Redmi device, but it will not be aligned at the right/left side of the device like the Galaxy S10 lineup of smartphones. The company has instead opted for a more awkward position for the device as the hole lies at the very middle.
This could have easily be replaced with a traditional waterdrop notch as it would have saved a lot of bucks owing to the fact that manufacturing punch-hole displays is way more costlier than a regular notch type display.
Moving to the back, we can see a triple rear camera module and a traditional fingerprint scanner. The color variant which is being shown in the video appears to be a bit dull, but that is partly due to the low video resolution and perhaps the lighting conditions are not perfect either. We will most certainly see some cool color gradients coming up with this device.
As of now, this is all we know about the device, but we are sure to receive further intel on the same in the coming days. Meanwhile, you can have a look at yet another Redmi smartphone which might arrive in a matter of a couple of months.
