The upcoming Meizu 16s has recently received the 3C certification which hints at a nearby launch.
The device which has received the certification has the model number M971Q and though there is not much intel on the specifications mentioned in the listing, we now know that the Meizu 16s will come with a UP0830S charger which happens to be the company’s native charger with mCharge capabilities.
Lets’ have a look at some of the leaked specifications of both the Meizu 16s and the Meizu 16s Plus.
Starting things off with the displays of both the devices, the Meizu 16s has a 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED display while the one found on the Meizu 16s Plus has a bigger 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. The chin found on the smaller variant is considerably thinner when compared with the Plus variant. There is no notch at the top of the display and it is commendable to see Meizu sticking to its very basics. The forehead is pretty thin and looks absolutely amazing. Other companies should definitely be learning from this.
Both the screens are going to be protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
Under the hood, the devices will be powered with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset which will be coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with a scope of further expansion with the help of an external SD card.
A 3,600mAh battery will fuel the device, but we won’t get any fast charging coming up with the device.
Coming to the price and the release date of the device, the Meizu 16s lineup will be launched somewhere in the month of April or May.
The price will be somewhere around $490. As of now, this is all we know about the devices, but we are sure to receive further intel on the same in the coming days as the launch date approaches.
