remap bixby button in samsung galaxy s9

Finally, users of the old Galaxy devices can remap Bixby

Last week, we got to know that the ability to remap Bixby in Samsung smartphones is not going to be exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy S10 flagship lineup soon.

We talked about the option Samsung has given its users of the Samsung Galaxy S10 lineup to change the Bixby button to your own liking and it appears that the company is soon going to roll out the same feature to the older flagships (the Samsung Galaxy S9 lineup and the Samsung Galaxy Note 9).Android Updated

No matter whether you hate the Bixby button or not, it is always a nice feel to have an option and the company has taken the right step here. There are workarounds available already, but having it natively is the best thing to have.

Now, the feature has finally arrived on the older generations of the Samsung Galaxy devices and you can natively disable or remap Bixby for good.

The report has come courtesy of SamMobile.

Samsung to allow us to replace ‘Hi Bixby’ hotword with something else. (/?)

If this turns out to be true, we will, for the first time, be able to customize the hotword on any personal assistant as per own choice.

This is not so sure as of now, but the famous tipster Ice Universe has mentioned in a Tweet as to what the new feature might have in store for us (Hi Bixby”, you can change to “Hi IceCat” and so on.😄)

You can do that by going to in the Settings and then Advanced features > Bixby key. Also, keep in mind that a long press will always launch Bixby Voice.
