So, the wait is finally over. Samsung has finally taken the wraps off its latest flagship lineup. The Samsung Galaxy S10 devices are no more confined to leaks and rumors.
Samsung Galaxy S10 lineup:
Samsung Galaxy S10
Samsung Galaxy S10e
Samsung Galaxy S10+
Samsung Galaxy S10 5G
This leads us to the usual question as to whether or not you should switch to a Galaxy S10 smartphone. For the sake of this post, we will try to point out the best things found in the Galaxy S10+. So, the S10+ becomes our benchmark over here.
Coming back to business, if you want to get your hands on the Galaxy S10+ (which is not that budget-friendly by any means) and you are having any doubts whatsoever, the following are the top 15 reasons for buying this device:
Why should I buy the Samsung Galaxy S10? Here’s why
1. Amazing display
The Samsung Galaxy S10+ sports a beautiful 6.4-inch display with 87.5% screen-to-body ratio. The front camera integrates seamlessly within the display which makes the device an absolute pleasure to look at.
2. Amazing cameras
Last year’s Samsung Galaxy S9 lineup and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 featured one of the best cameras in the market. The Galaxy S10 lineup has taken things to an altogether different dimension. The 5G variant of the Galaxy S10 boasts of a quad camera setup (12 MP, f/1.5-2.4 wide angle + 2 MP, f/2.4, 52mm telephoto + 16 MP, f/2.2, 12mm ultrawide + TOF camera) which is going to give the competitors nightmares for days.
Samsung never liked the concept of notches in its flagship smartphones and has radically changed the design of the current lineup. The bezels are almost gone, there is no pop-up camera gimmick being played, and the notch is, well, not invited. Interestingly, the stock wallpapers that come bundled with the device have intentionally been given a dark shade near the camera hole to provide for an even better UX.
4. Ultra-sonic fingerprint scanner
Under-display fingerprint scanners are not a new concept in the world of Android, but Samsung has come up with an all-new tech with the Galaxy S10 lineup. The in-display fingerprint scanner found of the devices is all the way more accurate and is way safer than its traditional counterparts. Though the response time is not drastically different, it is still a good thing to have a future-ready tech coming up in a device of such magnitude.
5. RAMming it up
Now, this might be a point worth debating on. Do we actually need a whopping 12GB of RAM in Android ecosystem or not has been a topic many YouTubers have been talking about for long. We leave the decision to you. That being said, having such a huge amount of RAM won’t hurt anyone, if nothing else.
Obvious? The Samsung Galaxy S10 lineup is powered with the best SoC in the world to date (8nm Exynos 9820 Octa-core chipset/ 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset) which when coupled with 12GB of RAM will be able to take on anything thrown at it.
7. Amazing front camera
The in-display dual front camera setup is more than just a gimmick. Samsung has ensured that the Galaxy S10+ gives the users the best selfie experience possible with the front camera setup (10 MP, f/1.9 aperture with dual pixel PDAF + 8 MP, f/2.2, depth sensor).
8. More internal storage (with expansion)
We get up to 1TB of internal storage. To put things under perspective, if you add in an external SD card to the picture, you are getting a device with 1.5TB of storage. That’s a lot.
9. Remappable Bixby button
Bixby has always been one of the most controversial decisions by Samsung and Samsung knows that. If you do not want to get annoyed with those accidental Bixby button presses, you can remap the button as per your liking in the Galaxy S10 lineup. Good job Samsung.
10. One UI (probably the best Samsung skin till date)
Again, reverse wireless charging is not new, but it is good to see Samsung adopting the good things from other companies and trying to integrate all the candies into its flagships. With the Reverse PowerShare feature, you can charge any device which supports wireless charging using your Galaxy S10 device.
12. Ample battery
The battery has always been a Grey area when it comes to Samsung smartphones and the company has finally ticked that as well. The Galaxy S10+ comes with a huge 4100 mAh battery and has still managed to keep the form factor pretty sleek.
5G is going to be the talk of the town in the latter half of 2019 and Samsung has ensured that the Galaxy S10 lineup remains relevant in the times to come.
