Samsung Galaxy A8s: Full specifications

samsung galaxy a8s full review and price

Starting things off with the display, the Galaxy A8s sports a 6.44-inch display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. There is a 6.7mm wide hole in the upper left part of the display which makes room for the 24MP selfie shooter which has a f/2.0 aperture. There are three color variants of the device which are introduced currently – Ice Blue, Mint Green, and Grey.

Being able to inculcate the front camera within the display, the company has been able to keep the bezels of the device fairly minimal.

Speaking of good things, the display and the new front camera tech is not the only prime highlight of the device. The Galaxy A8s does a pretty fair job when it comes to performance as well.

Under the hood, we get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with 6GB/8GB and 128GB of internal storage which can further be expanded by up to 512GB with the help of an external SD card.

At the back, we get a triple camera setup (24MP, f/1.7 + 10MP telephoto, f/2.4 + 5MP depth sensor, f/2.2) and an oval-shaped fingerprint scanner.

Moving on to the battery, we get a 3,400 mAh battery with a USB Type-C charging port. The OS is Android 9 Pie with Samsung’s Experience UI on top of it.

As of now, the Galaxy A8s is available in China for pre-orders with a global launch to be scheduled pretty soon.

Final verdict

The Samsung Galaxy A8s appears to be a pretty potent device, one that would change the mid-range segment radically.
