Samsung has finally unveiled the much awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The device is rather an incremental upgrade over its predecessor. That said, it has everything that is required to be called the flagship of the year. With sheer performance thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, a beefy 4,000 mAh battery which supports wireless charging as well as quick charging, a variable aperture dual camera setup, and a screen which is best in the world, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is, without any doubts, the best Android smartphone that you can buy as of now.
Asus has finally launched its first Android Go smartphone dubbed the Asus Zenfone Live (L1)globally. The device was already launched in Indonesiain the month of May.
As with all the other Android Go smartphones launched recently, there is not much going on if we talk about the specifications of the Asus Zenfone Live L1, but there are some key areas wherein the device shines.
For starters, the device makes use of a much powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset as compared to the MediaTek SoCs used in the other Android Go smartphones. This is certainly going to be a plus point should you be opting to buy an Android Go device in the first place.
LGhas launched a new mid-range smartphone dubbed the LG Q8 (2018). The device is kept at an asking price of $480 which appears to be a bit too much considering the specifications it offers. The device sports a 6.2-inch FullVision display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a stylus support. The device measures 160.1 x 77.7 x 8.4 mm and is unusually wide which can turn out to be a good thing if media consumption is something you are looking for in the LG Q8. The device is IP68 and MIL-STD 810G as well.
Under the hood, we get an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset clocked at 1.8 GHz. The processor is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can further be expanded by up to 2TB (500GB, to be practical as there is no memory card launched so far which can go beyond that).
Xiaomi is soon going to launch the Xiaomi Pocophone F1smartphone. The company has started revealing the looks and the internals of the device in all its glory on its various social media handles. Recently, the company teased the Xiaomi Pocophonr F1 on Twitter and the major focus is given on how fast the device is going to be. This further solidifies the claims that the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 will be the cheapest Android smartphone powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.
Razer is all geared up to launch the second generation of the Razer Phone. As per the company’s VP Chen Xiaoping, the Razer Phone 2 will be launched in Q4 of 2018. The announcement was made during the annual game conference China Joy 2018 in Shanghai.
Oppo is going to launch the Oppo F9 lineup of smartphones on August 15. The lower variant of the lineup or the Oppo F9 has recently appeared on the Geekbench database, thereby revealing and confirming some of its specifications.
When the entire world was busy watching the Samsung Galaxy Note 9become a reality, Meizu quietly unveiled the Meizu 16 lineup of smartphones.
Though most of the leaked specifications turned out to be true, we actually got way more than we had anticipated. While the Meizu 16 Plus was tipped to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, the standard Meizu 16 was reportedly going to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset instead. As it turns out, the company decided to treat its customers with the same processing power with both the smartphones and we get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC powering the standard edition as well.
Truth be told, both the Meizu 16 and the Meizu 16 Plus are amazing smartphones in their own right and as if that were not enough, the company has decided to launch yet another variant of the Meizu 16 lineup dubbed the Meizu 16X pretty soon. One should keep in mind that this is not a rumor or a leak. The news has indeed been revealed by the company’s CEO himself.
