Oppo has finally launched the mid-range smartphone dubbed the Oppo A5 for $225. The device appeared in the TENAA listings a couple of days ago which revealed almost all of its specifications, but now they are confirmed. The device features decent specifications and is one of the best-looking smartphones in the price range it is being offered at.
Oppo A5: Full specifications
Starting things off with the display, the Oppo A5 sports a 6.2-inch LCD HD+ display giving out a resolution of 1,520×720 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. There is a notch at the top which houses the front camera and the device’s sensors.
The front camera has support for facial unlock which is rather important considering the fact that the device does not have a physical fingerprint scanner. The device measures 156.2×75.6×8.2mm and weighs in at 168 grams. Even though the width of the Oppo A5 is a bit on the thicker side on papers, it actually is pretty sleek.
Under the hood, the device features a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can further be expanded with the help of an external SD card.
Coming to the cameras of the device, the Oppo A5 has a dual camera setup at the back (13MP, f/2.2 + 2MP, f/2.4) and an 8MP selfie snapper.
The battery of the device is a pretty substantial 4,230 mAh unit which will provide an ample amount of standby time.
The device has already been listed for pre-orders and sales will begin come July 13. As mentioned earlier, the Oppo A5 is kept at a price tag of $225.
