Xiaomi Mi Max 3: Watch the new promo video showing off the display

Xiaomi is soon going to launch the next generation of its Mi Max lineup of smartphones. The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 lineup of smartphones is one of the most anticipated devices of the month. Though the majority of eyes are on the more powerful Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Pro which will have better specifications and features, we cannot take anything away from the standard variant too.

Recently, the company has shared a promotional video on their official Weibo handle. What’s funny is the fact that the video is actually the promotional video the company had launched a couple of years ago for the original Xiaomi Mi Max. This clearly suggests that the launch date of at least the standard Mi Max 3 is nearby.

Though the company has not shared any official launch date, we can certainly expect the device to launch by the end of July considering that the last year’s Mi Max 2 was launched somewhere around this time too. The fact that the company’s CEO Lei Jun has shared an image of the retail box of the device a couple of days ago and that the device has already been certified by TENAA also helps the case.

As far as the specifications of the device are concerned, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is going to sport a massive 6.99-inch FHD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The device will be the first in the Max lineup to sport a near bezel-less screen and it will be amazing to have a device of this monstrous size with such narrow bezels.

Under the hood, the Mi Max 3 will be powered by a still unspecified 1.8GHz octa-core chipset which is most likely going to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. Coupled with the processor are going to be 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM variants and 32GB/64GB/128GB internal storage options. The internal storage will have a scope of further expansion with the help of an external SD card.
