Xiaomi is reportedly going to unveil the next generation smartphone of its famous Xiaomi Mi Mixlineup of smartphones in the month of September. As of now, little is known about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3and it turns out that the leaked images of the device which appeared on the internet a couple of weeks ago were, in fact, not legit.
Now, we have received a bunch of new renders of the device which show off the design language as well as the probability that the Mi Mix 3 will sport a pop-up selfie camera, much like the one found on the recently launched devices like the Vivo NEXand the Oppo Find X.
As evident from the above image, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will feature even thinner bezels when compared with the current Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and Mi Mix 2s. In order to make space for this much of screen, it would be a necessity for the company to incorporate a pop-up camera at the top as the company’s existing choice of placing the front camera at the chin of the device did not meet with a good response.
The company has been working on a periscopic camera for the past 3 years and this could probably be the best time that the company made use of it.
The renders further reveal that the device will feature an under-display fingerprint scanner as there is no physical fingerprint scanner found at the rear.
As of now, there is no word on the official specifications of the device. That said, we are sure to receive further intel on the same as the launch date approaches.
