Meizu is going to launch the next flagship lineup dubbed the Meizu 16 lineup in the month of August and that has been made official. Adding to the lineup, there will be another mid-range smartphone dubbed the Meizu X8which will be launched on the same day.
Recently, the company’s founder and CEO, Jack Wong made the news official. He further added that there will be two variants of the device (along with their prices which are discussed further down the post).
As of now, the official specifications of the device have not been revealed. What we know is that the Meizu X8 will sport an 18:9 aspect ratio display with very narrow bezels at the top and the bottom. There will be no notch at the top of the display. At the back, we are going to get a dual camera setup.
Under the hood, we are going to get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage which will have the scope of further expansion with the help of an external SD card.
Coming to the price of the device, the 64GB variant of the Meizu X8 will cost 1500 Yuan which roughly converts to $230 while the 128GB variant will carry a price tag of 2000 Yuan or $300. If storage is not a big concern for you, you are probably better off buying the 64GB variant as it costs considerably lesser as compared to the 128GB variant.
As of now, the company has not confirmed the official launch date of the device, but it is sure to be unveiled in the month of August.
