Huawei has emerged as one of the top-guns in the world of Android smartphones lately owing to the fact that it has launched a big lot of amazing smartphones in the past year. Flagships like the Huawei P20 lineup are still the best camera phones out there in the market, while the mid-rangers like the Honor 7X and the Honor 9i have proven to be one of the bestsellers in a lot of markets.
Now, the company appears to be taking on two hotspots of the Android world – gaming smartphones and foldable smartphones. The company has already launched a gaming-centric smartphone dubbed the Honor Playand has officially entered the Android gaming smartphones niche, but the upcoming gaming smartphone by Huawei will be different in terms of a few key areas.
For starters, the device will make use of the company’s new GPU Turbo technology which can improve the graphical performance of a smartphone by up to 60% using the device software. Further, we can expect that the company will make use of the upcoming Kirin 980 chipset with the future gaming phone in order to drive maximum gaming performance. The device is also tipped to sport some sort of heat-dissipating technology which has never been used so far. We can expect up to 8GB of RAM with the device.
In addition to this, Huawei has announced that the company is working on launching a foldable smartphone by early 2019. The company aims to take on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy X foldable smartphone by launching their own foldable device and if sources are legit, the company plans to launch its foldable smartphone even before Samsung does that.
As of now, there is no word on the specifications and the features of any of these devices. That said, we are sure to receive further intel on them pretty soon as the launch date approaches.
