Oppo is reportedly going to launch a new mid-range smartphone dubbed the Oppo A5. Recently, the specifications of the device have been spotted on the internet along with a couple of live shots.
As per the source, the Oppo A5 will sport a 6.2-inch HD+ display giving out a resolution of 720 x 1,520 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. There will be a notch at the top of the display which will house the front camera as well as the device’s sensors. The power button sits on the right side of the device whereas the volume rocker is on the left.
Under the hood, we are going to get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz and coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can reportedly be expanded with the help of an external SD card.
Moving to the camera department, we are going to get a dual camera setup at the back (13MP + 2MP) and an 8MP selfie snapper. As the device lacks a physical fingerprint scanner, one would have to rely on the device’s facial recognition mechanism or on the traditional PIN/Pattern/Password mechanism in order to unlock it.
The rear of the device looks almost identical to that of the recently launched Oppo Realme 1. The Oppo A5, however, is slightly thicker than the Realme 1 owing to the fact that it is going to house a much larger 4,230 mAh battery.
As of now, there is no word on the official price and the release date of the device. That said, it is going to cost somewhere around $250 – $300.
