Vivo finally took the wraps off the much awaited Vivo NEX lineup of smartphones. There are three variants of the device – Vivo NEX, Vivo NEX A, and Vivo NEX S. All the three variants offer top-notch specifications and features with the Vivo NEX being on the top of the chain.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro
The Huawei Mate 20 lineup of smartphones will be launched somewhere by the end of 2018. Recently, a new report emerged on the internet which suggests that the Huawei Mate 20 Pro will sport a massive 6.99-inch OLED display which will be bezel-less.
Under the hood, we are going to get the latest flagship Kirin 980 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage variants.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A
Xiaomi recently launched two new budget smartphones dubbed the Xiaomi Redmi 6 and the Xiaomi Redmi 6A. Both the devices feature an 18:9 aspect ratio display. Starting things off with the Redmi 6, the device has a 5.45-inch IPS LCD display giving out a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, we get a 12nm Helio P22 chipset powering the device which is clocked at 2.0 GHz. Coupling the processor is 3GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage which can further be expanded with the help of an external SD card.
The Redmi 6A features a 5.45-inch IPS LCD panel with the same aspect ratio.
The real difference lies in the power. We get a Helio A22 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage which is expandable.
Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Pro
Meizu is reportedly working on launching the Meizu 16 lineup of smartphones pretty soon. The devices will be officially unveiled in the month of August.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Meizu 16 is going to sport a 5.6-inch display whereas the Meizu 16 Pro will feature a much larger 6.1-inch display. Both the devices have an 18:9 aspect ratio and there is no notch at the top.
Under the hood, we are going to get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with both the devices.
Oppo is going to launch the Oppo R15S pretty soon in the market. The device recently appeared on TENAA which revealed some of its specifications and the design language. As per the rumors, the Oppo R15S is going to sport an under-display fingerprint scanner like the Vivo NEX.
The upcoming Honor V12 recently appeared on both the TENAA and the FCC listings. As per the listings, As per the listing, the X-Honor V12 is going to be a dual-SIM device. The display of the device is reportedly going to be a 5.5-inch unit which is rather strange as the Honor View 10 had a much larger 5.99-inch display. Therefore, the chances of its successor featuring a smaller display are rather unlikely.
Oppo Find X
The Oppo Find X is going to be launched on June 19. The company has recently posted a new teaser video which showcases an unusual notch at the top of the device’s display. Moving to the specifications of the device, the Oppo Find X sports a 6.4-inch display giving out a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio with a notch at the top.
Under the hood, we get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can further be expanded with the help of an external SD card. There is another variant of the device which features 256GB of internal storage. The GPU is an Adreno 630 unit.
As far as the battery is concerned, we get a 3,730 mAh battery fueling the device which is capable of quick charging.
Asus Zenfone Ares
Asus quietly launched the Asus Zenfone Ares in Taiwan for $333. The device boasts of some decent specifications and some drawbacks. For starters, we get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can further be expanded with the help of an external SD card. The presence of a dated Android Nougat OS on the device kind of takes a lot away, but the device is a pretty potent one and given that the company has always been swift enough to roll out updates, we can certainly hope to get an Oreo update on the device.
