Samsung is all set to launch the Samsung Galaxy A9 Star lineup of smartphones on June 7. The lineup has two devices – the Samsung Galaxy A9 Starand the Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite.
Right ahead of the launch, pre-orders for the devices have already begun (in China) and you can register for the devices by following the source mentioned at the end of the post.
Samsung Galaxy A9/A9 Star Lite: Full specifications
Coming to the specifications of the devices, while the Galaxy A9 Star sports a 6.28-inch Super AMOLED display, the A9 Star Lite has a smaller 6-inch Super AMOLED panel. Both the devices have an FHD+ display giving out a resolution of 2240 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The Infinity display makes its way to the devices as well.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A9 Star is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset whereas the A9 Lite runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC. Both the devices feature 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can further be expanded with the help of an external SD card.
Moving to the cameras, the Galaxy A9 Star comes equipped with a dual camera setup at the back (24MP + 16MP) and a 24MP front camera. The Galaxy A9 Star Lite, on the other hand, has a 16MP + 5MP camera setup at the back. The front camera is the same 24MP unit found on the standard Galaxy A9.
At the battery front, the Galaxy A9 Star is fueled by a 3,700 mAh battery whereas the Galaxy A9 Lite sports a smaller 3,500 mAh unit.
Both the devices run on Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung Experience 9.0 on top of it.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the Samsung Galaxy A9 Star would cost you 3,699 Yuan (~$577) whereas the Galaxy A9 Star Lite carries a price tag of 2,699 Yuan (~$421). The Galaxy A9 is available in Polar Night and Extremely White color options while the A9 Lite is available in Night Sky Blue and Dark Blue color variants.
