First reported by Android Police, the updated search bar will fall in line with the rest of the Google apps.

The search bar now acquires the major chunk of the top bar, unlike the current one. The video bar to upload videos is now shifted to the left of the user’s profile avatar. One more noteworthy change is the video thumbnails which now go from edge-to-edge on the screen, unlike the previous boxed layout. All these changes are small yet refreshing.

Finally, Facebook adds message reply option to the Facebook Messenger

Published

on

facebook messenger quick replies feature

Facebook has finally added a reply option to Facebook Messenger. After the update, long pressing on a message would allow you to reply to it.

Quoted replies have always been one of the most demanded features in Facebook Messenger and it is good to see that the developers have finally looked into the matter.

The feature was already available in WhatsApp, another chat platform owned by Facebook itself and it was kind of annoying to see Facebook not incorporating the same in the Messenger ecosystem. As a matter of fact, the quick replies in WhatsApp have constantly got new updates and bug fixes.

With the new feature available, you would be able to send quick replies to individual GIFs, videos, emoji, text, and photo messages.

The feature was already available in WhatsApp, another chat platform owned by Facebook itself and it was kind of annoying to see Facebook not incorporating the same in the Messenger ecosystem.

This would eliminate a lot of potential misunderstandings as to which particular response was intended for what.

The launch of replies follows shortly after Messenger gained an ‘unsend’ feature that gave users the ability to remove a message from a one-on-one or group chat for up to ten minutes after it has been sent.

Have you tried the Facebook Messenger quick reply feature? What are your thoughts on it? Do let us know in the comments section down below. Also, do not forget to subscribe to Android Updated. To do so, just tap the bell icon at the bottom of your device screen.

A little while ago, we got a bunch of wallpapers which blended in perfectly with the under-display camera layout of the recently launched Galaxy S10 lineup of smartphones.

You can have a look at them by following our existing coverage of the same.

Now, Samsung has decided to make things official as the company has launched official cut-out wallpapers for the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10E, and Galaxy S10+.

They, however, are not going to be free of cost

These cut-out wallpapers are available on the Samsung Theme Store. They, however, are not going to be free of cost.

If you want to download these wallpapers, they cost $0.99 a piece. The sad part is that you cannot even try them before downloading (for obvious reasons).

Still, if you want to try out some of the cut-out wallpapers for free, you can head to this SubReddit and get them all for free.

Update: We now have the download links to the wallpapers. You can get them all from the links below

Even after having almost all the latest tech, there will be a big bunch of people who would hate the design choice as the both the Samsung Galaxy S10 and the Samsung Galaxy S10+ feature an under-display camera which leaves a dark spot at the top right side of the display.

In case you are not a big fan of the holes too, these wallpapers are going to make you a lot happier.

Firefox sends lets you share up to 2.5GB of files to 100 recipients

Published

firefox send download free apk

Mozilla has recently launched a new file sharing service dubbed Firefox Send that lets you upload a file and share it to people.

Firefox Send is particularly helpful when it comes to sharing large files over email which is not possible.

With Firefox Send, users will be able to upload files up to 1GB at a time (up to 2.5GB if you have a Mozilla account. If you don’t, you can create one for free). Once the file(s) are uploaded, you can set the number of times people can download them (the limit is 100 though). Post 100 downloads, the link will expire and you would have to create a new one if you want more people to download the files.

At Mozilla, we are always committed to people’s security and privacy. It’s part of our long-standing Mozilla Manifesto. We are continually looking for new ways to fulfill that promise, whether it’s through the browser, apps or services. So, it felt natural to graduate one of our popular Test Pilot experiments, Firefox Send, send.firefox.com. Send is a free encrypted file transfer service that allows users to safely and simply share files from any browser. Additionally, Send will also be available as an Android app in beta later this week. Now that it’s a keeper, we’ve made it even better, offering higher upload limits and greater control over the files you share.

Furthermore, you can also set the time limit for the download links to expire (up to 7 days).

To make the files password protected, Firefox Sends gives you the provision to secure the files you are uploading with a password of your choice. Post the upload, you can share the URL and the password with the recipients.

How is Firefox Send different from a typical cloud service?

Well, the files are going to be uploaded on cloud only, but the fact that they get deleted after a specified period of time helps the case when we do not want to use up our cloud storage. Conversely, if you want the files to stay on the cloud for more than 7 days, Firefox Send is not the right choice for you.

Nevertheless, it’s a quick way to share files across, so one might want to give it a try.
