Google Home and Google Home Mini are coming to India on April 10

Google is all set to officially launch the Google Home and the Google Home Mini in India this month. The news was initially reported as a part of a communication by Redington India with its retail partners.

This is good news for the potential users in India and Google has apparently been keen to push its lineup of assistants to the subcontinent (the support for Hindi for the Google Assistant was rolled out last month) owing to the competition it is getting by the likes of the Amazon-owned range of assistants (Echo Plus, Echo and Echo Dot).

This way, the Google Home devices will have a one-up advantage in this battle of the assistants as the Alexa products do not have support for Hindi as of now.

India has been spotted as one of the potential budding markets in the world when it comes to virtual assistants. Recently, the Google Home app has started support for a lot of Indian music streaming apps like Gaana and Saavn and pushing the Google Home appliances to the country is a pretty welcome move by the company.

Update: Google has started sending invites for the launch event. The Google Home and the Google Home Mini are going to be launched in India on April 10.

As of now, there is no official confirmation as to which date the devices are going to be launched, but it is almost certain that they are going to make their way somewhere this month only. The same is the case with the pricing of the devices in India. Only time would reveal.
