Mobile World Congress (2019) is right around the corner and we are all are eagerly waiting for it. The event will take place at Fira Gran Via, Barcelona and will begin at 6 PM local time (12 PM EST time). As all the major smartphone companies have already teased their upcoming flagships which are going to be unveiled during the event, ZTE has decided to join the league with a pretty unique smartphone of its own.
Nubia, ZTE’s Sidekick brand is reportedly going to launch a new wearable smartphone of sorts during the MWC.
The company has started rolling out promotional posters for the same. The poster comes with the tagline “Flex your Life” which clearly points out to a foldable device.
By the looks of it, the Nubia Alpha (α) is going to be a wearable smartphone with a display that wraps halfway around your wrist.
This brings us to the question as to whether or not such a smartphone is required. The smartwatches ecosystem has not seen good days lately and ZTE’s decision of making a wraparound smartphone is kind of difficult to comprehend (at least for now). Then again, we cannot judge the company for trying out something new and the end product might come out to be impressive and practical.
