The year 2018 marked a new era in the world of Android smartphones. We saw the manufacturers trying their best to make their devices as bezel-less as possible. The devices like the Vivo NEX, Oppo Find X, and Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. Post that, we started getting dual, triple, even quad camera setups in the likes of smartphones like Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018).
2019 appears to be no different as we are ushering the era of under-display front cameras, true bezel-less smartphones, 5G ready devices, and whatnot.
As it turns out, Meizu is interested in doing something completely different. The company has introduced a new smartphone dubbed the Meizu Zero. The Meizu Zero takes the innovation further as it has practically no buttons, no speaker, not even a charging port.
Meizu Zero: Full specifications and live shots
Starting things off with the display, the Meizu Zero has a 5.99-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a rather standard 18:9 aspect ratio. There is a fair amount of bezel at the top and the bottom of the device. The front of the device houses a 20MP selfie snapper and an under-display fingerprint scanner. At the back, we get a dual camera setup (20MP + 12MP, Sony IMX 380 and IMX 350 AI sensors).
Other than this, the processor, the battery, and everything else is still unknown.
Coming to the prime highlight of the device, the Meizu Zero, as mentioned earlier, won’t have any physical buttons. It would make use of touch-capacitive panels for the volume keys and the power button. There won’t be any charging port and the 3.5mm headphone jack will undoubtedly be gone too. In place of all this, we will get wireless charging. The company will bundle its in-house 18W charging dock (wireless) making Meizu Zero the fastest wirelessly charging device on this planet till date.
There won’t be any SIM slot too. The device will make use of an e-SIM.
As of now, this is all we know about the Meizu Zero, but we will keep you posted with further news on the same the moment we receive any.
