Huawei will launch the Huawei Y9 (2019) in India on January 15. The device will sell as an Amazon exclusive and will carry a price tag of INR 15,990 for the 4GB/64GB variant.

Starting things off with the display, the Huawei Y9 (2019) sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display giving out a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. There is a notch at the top of the display which sports the front camera and the device’s sensors.
The device measures 162.4×77.1×8.05mm and weighs in at 173 grams.
Under the hood, the Huawei Y9 (2019) runs on a Kirin 710 chipset (4×2.2GHz + 4×1.7GHz) coupled with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage with a scope of further expansion with the help of an external SD card.
Moving on to the cameras of the device, the device features a dual camera setup at the back (13MP + 2MP) and a dual camera setup at the front as well (16MP + 2MP).
There is a fingerprint scanner at the back, but you would be able to unlock the device using the facial recognition mechanism as well.
Moving on to the battery of the device, the Huawei Y9 (2019) features a large 4,000 mAh battery with support for quick charging.
As far as the OS is concerned, the device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with the company’s proprietary EMUI 8.2 on top of it.
The Y9 (2019) comes with free boat Rockerz Sports Bluetooth earphones that cost INR2,990 if purchased separately.
