Honor Play 8A: Full specifications

Starting things off with the display, the Honor Play 8A sports a 6.09-inch IPS LCD display with a 720 x 1560 pixels resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

There is a waterdrop notch at the top of the display which houses the front camera. Speaking of, the front camera is an 8MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture. The device measures 156.28 x 73.5 x 8.0mm and weighs in at 150 grams. The rear of the device looks like glass, but it is made up of plastic which is surrounded by chamfered metal rim around the edges.

The device is currently available in 4 color variants – Black, Blue, Gold, and Red.

At the back, we get a 13MP single camera with f/1.8 aperture and a single-tone LED flash. Sadly, there is no physical fingerprint scanner at the back, but one would be able to unlock the Honor Play 8A using the facial unlock mechanism.

Under the hood, the Honor Play 8A is powered with a 2.3GHz octa-core 12nm Helio P35 MT6765 chipset which is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage which can further be expanded with the help of an external SD card.

Coming to the OS, the Honor Play 8A runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box with EMUI 9 out of the box.

As far as the battery is concerned, we get a 3,020 mAh battery with support for quick charging. Much to our surprise, there is a USB Type-C charging port as well.
