Samsung is allegedly going to land up in trouble for a potential copyright infringement. The company decided to finally rename its Galaxy smartwatches lineup and simplified the names somewhat. The latest smartwatch by the company is dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Watch which was launched a couple of months ago.
A couple of days ago, the famous South Korean watchmaker company Orient has filed an application at the Seoul Central District Court for the suspension of sales of the Samsung Galaxy Watch on the grounds of trademark infringement.
The report has come to Android Updated exclusively by Letsgodigital. As per the website, the company wants to prevent more problems with Samsung in the future.
It was further discovered that on October 10, 2018, the watchmaker has filed two trademarks with KIPO (Korean Intellectual Property Office) for the names ‘Galaxy AI Watch’ and ‘Galaxy Smart Watch’, both trademarks are categorized as ‘watches / electronic watches’.
