Google is constantly working on improving the Wear OS for the smartwatches. The upcoming Wear OS update is going to be a pretty substantial one in terms of a lot of aspects – mainly health, productivity, and a plethora of new gestures.
Easier access to notifications and more
Starting things off with the notifications, the notifications menu has become easily accessible as a simple swipe down will bring about the menu. Furthermore, a new set of icons have been added to the menu. Swiping up will bring the notifications. For a change, smart replies have been added to the notifications menu and you won’t even have to leave the notifications menu to do that.
More proactive help from your Google Assistant
Google Assistant has now become smarter and more contextual. The assistant will now provide information on the weather, traffic conditions, hotel reservations, flight schedule, and stuff like that.
As per Google, the assistant will learn your activities, adapt to your behavior, and become smarter over time.
Smarter health coaching
Lastly, the Google Health app has also got a new design as well as a bunch of new features. The app is now closely integrated with the American Heart Association and the World Health Organization that would provide with new goals that will help you stay in shape. The goals are called Heart Points and Move Minutes. The Health app can be accessed either from the smartwatch’s menu or just by swiping to the right.
The update will start rolling out in the coming month to all the smartwatches which support Wear OS.
