Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy Watch alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 a couple of weeks ago. So far, the fans of the watch have been waiting for the watch to arrive. Finally, pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy Watch have begun.
The LTE variant of the smartwatch is now available for pre-orders from T-Mobile. Though the carrier itself has not started accepting pre-orders on their official website, if you cannot wait for it to arrive on their website, you can book your Samsung Galaxy Watch at Samsung.com. If, however, you want to buy the watch on an installment plan, you’d have to wait it out for a little more.
Coming to the price of the watch, the 42mm variant is kept at $379.99 whereas the 46mm variant would cost you a little more than that, $399.99 to be exact. The watch will start shipping come September 2. If you want to be among the first people in the USA to own the Samsung Galaxy Watch, it is probably the right time to order as you will get a free additional band for your watch.
There are three color variants available at present – Black, Silver and Rose Gold. The Rose Gold variant, however, is only available in the smaller 42mm size which is Samsung’s take on making the device feasible for the female audience out there.
The interface and the gestures are pretty familiar – we get a rotating bezel which can be used to access the watch menu and perform a lot of useful actions. On the right side (provided you wear the watch on your left hand), there are two buttons (more tactile than the previous generation watches by Samsung), one of which would take you back to the home screen while the other can be configured as per your needs – you can set it to open a specific app of your own choosing or you can set it to start a workout routine or start the GPS (yes, there is GPS) if you are going jogging or something.
Moving on to the display, the Samsung Galaxy Watch has a fully circular 1.3-inch AMOLED display (1.2-inch for the 42mm variant) giving out a resolution of 360×360 pixels and a pixel density of 390ppi.
