Oppo recently announced the Oppo R17 smartphone and is now all geared up to launch the Pro variant of the device as well. Both the devices will be unveiled during a launch event scheduled on August 23.
The Oppo R17 Pro is going to pack in almost the same specifications as that of the standard Oppo R17, but there are some pretty significant differences. For starters, there’s going to be a triple camera setup at the back.
As per the recent reports, the Oppo R17 Pro will be the company’s first smartphone to come equipped with a ToF 3D sensing technology that can be used for a lot of features lie AR, gesture recognition, virtual fitting of clothes and a lot more.
Among the three rear camera modules, one of the lenses will have a variable aperture which will allow the users to switch between f/2.4 and f/1.5, much like the Samsung Galaxy S9+ and the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 9. At the front, we will get a 25MP selfie snapper that will feature AI capabilities.
The Oppo R17 Pro will also have the sixth generation Corning Gorilla Glass on both its sides. Furthermore, we are going to get an under-display fingerprint scanner and a 3D facial recognition mechanism.
