Google will launch the upcoming Google Pixel 3 lineup of smartphones in the month of October and the common trend of leaks and rumors has already begun.
Recently, a Russian tech blogger posted a live hands-on video of the Google Pixel 3 XL which shows the box and the entire accessories that come packed in it.
As seen in the video, the retail packaging of the Google Pixel 3 XL will consist of a pair of headphones, a USB Type-C charging port, a USB Type-C to 3.5mm adapter (sadly, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack coming up with the Pixel 3 XL), a USB Type-C to Type-A charging cable, and a fast charger.
Now, the same person has posted a new hands-on video of the device. Sadly, the video is posted on Telegram and is only available as a download, so all we could manage were the images extracted from the video itself.
As seen in the image, the Google Pixel 3 XL will sport a huge 6.7-inch notched display giving out a resolution of 1440×2960 pixel. The notch is fairly wide and looks kind of out of place, to be honest.
Moving on to the battery, the device will sport a 3,430 mAh battery which will be capable of quick charging. Considering how big the display is, the battery appears to be a bit small, but Google is known for ensuring the best possible optimization, so we can expect the device to perform decently, at the very least.
The always-on display makes its way to the Google Pixel 3 lineup as well and there are some subtle improvements that we are going to get this time around.
Moving on to the cameras, the company has decided to stick to a single camera yet again and we are going to get a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP selfie unit. If dual cameras are something you would want to have in your flagship device, you are not going to get the same with the Google Pixel 3 XL. That said, Google’s amazing software optimization kind of makes it up for that. As a matter of fact, the last year’s Pixel 2 lineup still has the best camera in town.
Moving to the internals, the Google Pixel 3 XL will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can further be expanded with the help of an external SD card.
As of now, there is no word on the price of the device.
