The year 2018 has seen a lot of dedicated Android gaming smartphones like the Xiaomi Black Shark, the Nubia Red Magic, the Asus ROG gaming phone and even the recently launched Huawei Honor Play falls under the same category. The trend which all the companies are following lately was indeed started by the Razer Phone which was launched last year.
The device changed the entire smartphone gaming ecosystem and was one of the first Android devices to feature specifications like a massive 8GB of RAM.
Now, the company is all geared up to launch the second generation of the Razer Phone. As per the company’s VP Chen Xiaoping, the Razer Phone 2 will be launched in Q4 of 2018. The announcement was made during the annual game conference China Joy 2018 in Shanghai.
Though he did not reveal any of the specifications of the device, we are pretty sure that the Razer Phone 2 is going to come equipped with the next generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. Also, it is safe to assume that we might get as much as 10GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage as the first generation Razer Phone had 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
A dual rear camera setup is also tipped to make its way to the Razer Phone 2.
Coming to the display, the Razer Phone 2 is pegged to sport a bezel-less display as it is a common trend in the year 2018.
As of now, nothing can be said for sure, but once the device starts receiving the various certifications, things will start becoming clearer.
