Google is going to launch the Google Pixel 3 lineup of smartphones in the month of October. Recently, the top-end variant of the lineup, the Google Pixel 3 XL has appeared in the Geekbench database which has revealed some of its specifications.
As we already know that the device is codenamed crosshatch and this has been confirmed even further courtesy of the Geekbench database now.
As per the Geekbench scores, the Google Pixel 3 XL will feature an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset which is most likely to be the Snapdragon 845 chipset. The processor will be coupled with 4GB of RAM which comes as a surprise. Moving to the OS, the device is unsurprisingly going to run the upcoming Android P OS out of the box.
Moving to the scores, the Google Pixel 3 XL scored 2,426 in single-core test and 8,355 in multi-core test.
The scores, as well as the RAM which has been specified here, are pretty underwhelming to be very honest. The Geekbench scores could be ignored as this could be a prototype model, but having 4GB of RAM in a flagship of 2018 might turn out to be a matter of concern as most of the smartphone manufacturers have managed to pull off at least 6GB of RAM in their flagship smartphones. As a matter of fact, the upcoming Oppo R17 is rumored to sport a massive 10GB of RAM which clearly shows the future of Android.
There might be a possibility that the device will come in a 6GB variant as well. Nothing can be said for sure as of now.
