Gboard for Android has recently got a new update. After the update (22.214.171.124421213), you would find a bunch of newly added features which add more to the already productive keyboard by Google.
For starters, you can now convert your own words into GIFs using the new Make a GIF feature. Whether or not this feature is productive depends on personal preference. If you are a fan of sending GIFs to your contacts, you are certainly going to like the feature. Even if you are not, having a feature like that would never hurt.
Furthermore, you can now search for the GIFs in 15 new languages from the stock GIF library of the Gboard.
The second substantial feature is the addition of 28 new languages which are now supported. The languages are (sorted in alphabetical order) Bagri, Batak Toba, Bench, Bhili, Capiznon, Chavacano, Eastern Min, Fiji Hindi, Ge’ez, Gurani, Ingush, Karachay, Khorasani Turkic, Kipsigis, Maharashtrian Konkani, Lezgian, Mizo, Maguindanao, Malay (Brunei), Maranao, Southern Min, Northern Sami, Qashqa’i, Rinconada Bikol, Surjapuri, Tausug, Upper Saxon, Vasavi.
In addition to that, we get the usual bug fixes that arrive with every update.
As the update is a pretty substantial one, the update size is also pretty significant. You would have to lose on approximately 142MB of data. The updated version is 126.96.36.199421213 and chances are highly likely that it would have hit your device.
