MIUI 10 Developer ROM is now available for 17 more Xiaomi smartphones

Xiaomi announced the MIUI 10 on May 31 and at the very beginning on the month of June, no less than 10 of the company’s smartphones received the update.

The first batch of the devices which received the MIUI 10 update includes the following smartphones:

Now, the company has begun rolling out the MIUI 10 developer ROM to a fresh batch of 17 new smartphones:

  • Xiaomi Mi Note 3
  • Xiaomi Mi 5S
  • Xiaomi Mi 5C
  • Xiaomi Mi 5X
  • Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus
  • Xiaomi Mi 4C
  • Xiaomi Mi 4S
  • Xiaomi Mi Max
  • Xiaomi Mi Max Prime
  • Xiaomi Mi Max 2
  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A
  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime
  • Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus
  • Xiaomi Redmi 5
  • Xiaomi Redmi 5A
  • Xiaomi Redmi 4X

The new MIUI 10 (V8.6.1x) brings in a ton of new features including but not limited to a redesigned recent apps screen, support for the AI assistant, a new gesture-based navigation feature for full-screen smartphones, and a lot more.


How to upgrade to MIUI 10?

  1. Back up your data before upgrading to MIUI 10.
  2. If you are using MIUI 6 / MIUI 7 / MIUI 8 stable ROM, please upgrade to MIUI 10 via the fastboot method.
  3. If you’re using MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM, please go to ‘Updater’ and check for updates.
  4. Remember that if your bootloader is locked, you would have to unlock it before flashing the ROM.

The update weighs in at around 2GB – 2.7GB depending on the device you are going to use it on.
