Instagram has constantly been pushing new features to the app lately. Recently, the app got features like group video calls, a new explore section, and some new camera effects. You can check out the complete details of the previous update by following our existing coverage from here. As a matter of fact, the app received four major updates in the month of June.
Now, right at the beginning of the month of July, Instagram has reportedly begun testing out a new feature which takes the practicality of interactions in the app to a whole new level. Reported first by Android Police, the app now lets you ask questions in its Stories section, something which is both practical and convenient at the same time.
Till now, you could interact with someone’s stories in the form of a poll or a smiley slider which was up to the discretion of the poster. You could message the Story owner personally, but that would require another extra step. Now, you can directly fire the Story with a question of your choosing.
The questions are open-ended and there is no word limit on them. You can ask as long a question as you want. The image above, for instance, shows an option to roast a poster’s Story.
We tested the feature on a lot of our Android devices, but just like the source, we also have not received the update yet. You can also try your luck by updating your Instagram app right now. Nevertheless, this is surely going to be a much-appreciated feature once it rolls out to all the users.
