Xiaomi announced the latest MIUI 10 last month along with the launch of its latest flagship Mi 8 lineup which included Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, and Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition. Last week, the company announced the list of eligible devices which are going to receive the latest MIUI update. Now, the company has started rolling out the MIUI 10 to the following devices:
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 2
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S
- Xiaomi Redmi S2
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 5
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro
The Global Beta ROM is being rolled out only to select smartphones as of now and the company is planning to push the stable version of the ROM pretty soon across all the devices globally. The stable build is expected to begin rolling out come September.
MIUI 10: New features
As far as the new features are concerned, the latest MIUI 10 (V8.6.14) brings in a ton of features like an updated Mi Browser, support for PWA (Progressive Web Apps), a better search functionality, and a lot of bug fixes and enhancements.
If your Xiaomi device is running on the MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM and if you have registered for the Beta testers program (check the link at the top of the post if you haven’t), you can hit Settings > About phone > System Updates > Check for updates to check for the MIUI 10 update. Chances are likely that you must have got the update.
