Google is working on launching the third generation of its Google Pixel lineup of smartphones. Recently, a couple of live shots of the Google Pixel 3 XL have popped up on the internet (thanks to XDA Developers) which show off the design language of the device. As per the images, the Google Pixel 3 will feature a notch at the top and a thick chin.
The presence of a notch in the Pixel 3 XL was more than confirmed for a very long time now, but we were expecting a design makeover with the new lineup. That, apparently, does not seem to be the case and Google is most certainly sticking with the tried and tested conventional design of the Pixel lineup.
Thankfully, the notch is not that wide and it makes room for the device’s earpiece, the front camera, and the sensors. Whether or not the Pixel 3 XL would have some sort of 3D facial unlock mechanism is still unknown.
At the rear, we find the typical Pixel design language with two different color accents. It is rather surprising to see that there is just a single camera at the back which questions the authenticity of the image.
The fingerprint scanner lies at the usual central position on the rear meaning that we are not going to get an under-display fingerprint scanner this time around as well.
The image further enlightens us about the memory configuration of the Pixel 3 XL. There will be 4GB of RAM and 1288GB of internal storage. That said, we can certainly expect the device to come in multiple storage options.
