YouTube app for Android is soon going to get a new update. After the update, the search bar on the top of the app is going to get a design makeover.
First reported by Android Police, the updated search bar will fall in line with the rest of the Google apps.
The search bar now acquires the major chunk of the top bar, unlike the current one. The video bar to upload videos is now shifted to the left of the user’s profile avatar. One more noteworthy change is the video thumbnails which now go from edge-to-edge on the screen, unlike the previous boxed layout. All these changes are small yet refreshing.
Furthermore, the search results page has also got a redesign in terms of the search bar. The search bar already used to be wide after a search query was made, but now it is more refined and looks more organized. There is also a highlighted tint to it which looks even better.
The new update is already rolling out across all the Android devices and chances are that you might already have received it. Do check out your YouTube app for the updates.
