Samsung is going to launch the Samsung Galaxy S8 Lite (SM-G8950) on May 21. Recently, a new poster for the launch event of the device has surfaced which has revealed that the device will arrive with a new name – the Samsung Galaxy S Light Luxury.
As per the poster, the event will take place at the company’s Jingdong headquarters in Beijing and will begin at 1 pm (local time).
Samsung Galaxy S Light Luxury: Full specifications
Coming to the specifications of the device, the Samsung Galaxy S Light Luxury features a 5.8-inch FHD+ Infinity Display. Under the hood, we get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can further be expanded with the help of an external SD card.
Moving on to the cameras of the device, we get a 16MP camera at the rear and an 8MP selfie shooter at the front. The fingerprint scanner lies at the rear of the device, much like all the current flagship Galaxy smartphones.
As far as battery is concerned, the Galaxy S Light Luxury sports a 3,000 mAh battery capable of quick charging. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung Experience UI on top of it. The device will be launched in two color variants – Red and Black.
As of now, there is no word on the price of the device. That said, it’s hardly a matter of some hours before we got to see the official launch.
