The upcoming Samsung smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has recently got Wi-Fi certification. The certification hints that the launch date of the device is not that far.
Sadly, the certification listing doesn’t reveal much about the smartphone other than the model number that happens to be SM-G885DS.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star will be a dual SIM device and will run on Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung’s proprietary Experience UI on top of it.
According to the previous leaks and rumors, the Galaxy A8 Star is going to be powered by either an Exynos 7885 or Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can further be expanded with the help of an external SD card.
Coming to the display of the device, the Galaxy A8 Star will come equipped with a 6.28-inch Super AMOLED display giving out a resolution of 1080×2220 and an 18:9 aspect ratio.
At the camera front, we are going to get a dual camera setup at the back (16MP + 24MP) along with a dual-tone LED flash. The fingerprint scanner also lies at the rear of the device. The front camera will be a 24MP selfie shooter.
Fueling the device will be a massive 3,700 mAh battery capable of quick charging.

As of now, there is no word on the official price and the release date. That said, we can expect the Galaxy A8 Star to be arriving pretty soon as it is getting a lot in the news lately.
