Samsung Galaxy S10: The device might get an on-screen fingerprint scanner

Samsung is known for bringing out technological revolutions every time it launches a new smartphone. Though the same cannot be said for the current flagship lineup, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Samsung Galaxy S9+ as both the devices were just iterative upgrades over the previous Galaxy S8 lineup.

Rumors of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9 to sport an on-screen fingerprint scanner popped up on the internet a little while ago and that also is not going to be the case.

As it turns out, the next generation Samsung Galaxy S10 is going to be the first Samsung device to sport this feature. According to the latest report, Samsung has finished developing an in-house ultrasonic reader which will be featuring in the Samsung Galaxy S10 which is going to be launched in January 2019.

The current under display fingerprint scanners work only with the OLED screens as they are optical devices and what better a company than Samsung which is probably the best company when it comes to AMOLED devices.

Recently, we received a report that suggests that the Galaxy S10 will be launched in the Consumer Electronics Show 2019. This gives the company ample time to incorporate the under display fingerprint technology in the device. Again, these are just predictions as of now and nothing can be said for sure as these are pretty early days to even talk about the S10.
