The Lite version of the last year’s Samsung flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Lite is going to be launched come May 21.
A recent report from TENAA confirmed the fact that Samsung has been working on the Lite variant of the device for long now and the device has been certified from TENAA as well which revealed some of its specifications.
Coming back to the current news, the device has been tipped to launch on May 21. The news has come up from a recent tweet by a leaker named @MMDDJ_ who happens to have a pretty impressive track record of giving out accurate predictions and leaks.

According to him, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Lite will be made available at Jingdong’s (JD.com) headquarters. Furthermore, the device will be exclusive to the online retailer.
Right after the tweet, the leaker also posted a follow-up tweet which shows off the entire device in all its glory. As seen in the images, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Lite will be launched in two color variants – Red and Black.
Coming to the specifications of the device, the Galaxy S8 Lite is going to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can further be expanded with the help of an external SD card.
Moving to the display, the device is going to pack in a 5.8-inch FHD+ infinity display which is a tad bit smaller than its original counterpart. The device will be fueled with a 3,000 mAh battery capable of quick charging.
As far as the cameras of the device are concerned, we are going to get a single 16MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie snapper. The fingerprint scanner lies right next to the rear camera module just like the original Galaxy S8.
The Galaxy S8 will run on Android Oreo 8.0 with Samsung’s Experience 9.0 UI on top of it.
As of now, there is no word on the price of the device, but we can hope to get it soon.
