Alcatel is soon going to launch its budget smartphone, the Alcatel 1X and the Alcatel 3V in the United States.
The Alcatel 1X was one of the budget smartphones introduced at the MWC this year and is finally going to make it to the US. The device, though a cheap handset, is the company’s first Android Go smartphone meaning that you would get regular Android updates with this smartphone.
Alcatel 1X: Full specifications
Coming to the specifications of the device, the Alcatel 1X features a 5.3-inch 960 x 480 display, 2,460 mAh battery, a MediaTek quad-core 1.28GHz chipset which is kind of usual when it comes to the budget segment of the Android smartphones. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well.
At the storage front, we get 16GB of internal storage which can further be expanded with the help of an external SD card. The specifications might not fascinate one that much. That said, considering the fact that the Alcatel 1X carries a price tag of just a $100 and features Android Go makes it a smartphone worth noticing. The device features Android Oreo out of the box (a light version of the OS though) and is sure to receive further Android updates in the coming times.
Alcatel 3V: Full specifications
Talking about the Alcatel 3V, the device is certainly having way better specifications. For starters, the device features a dual-camera setup (12MP + 2MP) and a 6-inch 2160 x 1080, 18:9 aspect ratio display. There is a MediaTek MT8735A processor chipset powering the device coupled with 2GB of RAM. On the battery front, the Alcatel 3V sports a 3,000 mAh battery. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. You can also unlock the device using the face detection system. Coming to the OS, the Alcatel 3V also features Android Nougat out of the box. The device will be sold in the US for $232 USD.
