Huawei has finally launched the Huawei Y9 (2018) in Thailand.  The device features impressive specifications and features at a pretty affordable price.

There were a lot of rumors going on earlier about the device and we were not sure as to how many of the predicted specifications would make it to the end product. Finally, we have a clear picture of the specifications of the device.

The Y9 packs in almost all the required specifications of an Android smartphone of 2018 and then some.

The Y9 (2018) sports an 18:9 aspect ratio display with a 2160 x 1080 resolution. At the front, you would find a dual camera setup (16MP + 2MP) whereas the rear of the device houses a 13MP + 2MP dual camera setup.

Below the two rear cameras, we would find the fingerprint scanner and the Huawei branding at the rear bottom of the device.

Powering the Huawei Y9 is a Kirin 659 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. On the memory front, the device has 32GB of internal storage with a scope of expansion (up to 1TB).

Coming to the battery of the device, this is where the Huawei Y9 simply shines. There is a huge 4,000 mAh battery provided which supports Quick Charging.

Android Oreo is finally made available to the Huawei Y9 out of the box with EMUI 8.0 on top of it. There are some additional features like face unlock and UI gestures provided as well.

The device looks more or less like the current lineup of Huawei and Honor Android smartphones and there is nothing much to notice about here. That said, the design is simply amazing and the Y9 looks and feels pretty solid and ergonomic in the hand. The device is available in three color variants: Blue, Black, and Golden.

Talking about the price of the Huawei Y9, we can very well expect the international variant of the device to ship for around $250.
