The latest update of the Google Phone brings a not-so-new feature which was actually missing in Android for a very long time.
The V17 update of the app introduces a chat heads feature which would get activated when you want to make use of the rest of your Android smartphone while on a phone call.
After downloading the update, if you happen to leave the app, a pop-up icon would show on your smartphone screen which would show the contact information of the person you are talking to, including their profile picture.
Just like the Facebook Messenger chat head, if you hold down on the Google Phone chat head, you can either hide it or end the call while tapping on it will reveal a list of options including going back to the Google Phone app, muting your device’s microphone, turning on the device’s loudspeaker, and even ending the call.
Editor’s Picks of the week
While this is not a very big update so to say, it is pretty productive in its own right and it is surprising to notice as to why other calling apps in Android have still not thought of having this feature. It makes using the phone during a call all the way more convenient and easy.
The update should be rolling out to the Play Store now, but if you can not just wait for it to arrive, you can download the APK from the button given below:
